Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information I collect through orbient.pro, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. It is written to meet the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988) and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Who I am
This site is run by Dmitry Parshin, trading as Orbient. I decide how your information is used. Contact: dmitry@orbient.pro
What I collect
When you send the contact form or email me: your name, your contact details, and whatever you tell me about your process and how often it happens.
When you use a demo: the text you type or upload. It's sent to an AI model to produce the answer you see. Please don't paste personal or confidential information into the demos.
When you visit the site: anonymous, aggregated usage statistics through Plausible Analytics, such as pages viewed, referrer and country. Plausible uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites. My web server also keeps standard technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and rate limiting.
I don't use advertising trackers and I don't sell or rent personal information.
Why I use it
- to reply to your request and discuss possible work (legitimate interest, or steps before a contract at your request);
- to run the demos you choose to use (your request);
- to keep the site secure and working (legitimate interest).
Who processes it for me
- Hosting and automation: the site and my n8n automation server, which receives form submissions and stores them in a table I control.
- Notifications: Telegram. I get a message with the request details so I can reply quickly.
- AI models (demos only): OpenRouter, which routes demo text to the selected model provider.
- Analytics: Plausible Analytics (EU-hosted, cookieless).
- Email: my email provider, when you write to dmitry@orbient.pro.
Some of these providers are outside your country. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- contact requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, or longer if we sign a contract and I'm required to keep records;
- demo inputs: not stored beyond short-lived technical logs, deleted within 30 days;
- server logs: up to 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask me to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to its use, or to give you a copy. Email dmitry@orbient.pro and I'll reply within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how I handled a request, you can complain to your regulator: the Information Commissioner's Office (UK), the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand), or the Data Protection Commission (Ireland).
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
